St Augustine's College 2023 performance of Aladdin Jnr. received an Encouragement Award at the 50th Annual Georgy Awards presented at Riverlinks Eastbank on Saturday 25 November.  George Pullar, in whose memory the awards are named, was involved in all facets of theatre in Shepparton and district in the 1950s and 1960s. According to the Georgy Awards website George Pullar acted and directed, was an expert in make-up and knowledgeable in all aspects of theatrical procedure. He was President of the GV Drama Association and assisted in many early productions of the Shepparton Light Music Company. 
Over 16 school productions were judged in the category with St Augustine's being awarded the Encouragement Award.
A cast of twenty eight students were involved in the Aladdin Jnr performance  with many more supporting in backstage roles. The Production was held across two evening performances at the Plaza Theatre in Kyabram and the college congratulates all staff and students who were involved!
