StAugustine

St Augustine of Hippo, born in 354CE, led a fascinating life. As a young man, he enjoyed fun and adventure. However, he later felt a deep connection with God, which changed his life. Augustine became a bishop, helping others understand Christian teachings. His book "Confessions" tells the story of his journey. St. Augustine is remembered for his ideas about God's love and how we can be better people.

St. Augustine of Hippo laid the foundation for the Augustinian Order; a religious community committed to scholarly pursuits and pastoral care. The Order of St Augustine, comprising priests and brothers, drew inspiration from Augustine's teachings on education, community, and spiritual exploration. In the spirit of their founder, the Augustinians established St. Augustine's College in Kyabram, working alongside teaching Brigidine Sisters to embody the Christian values of truth, unity, and love.
